Brown University Korean-American Student Association: strengthening the Korean/Korean-American community and increasing knowledge of Korean cultural and ethnic attributes at Brown University
The Korean-American Students Association, KASA, is a minority-student run organization with the goals of strengthening the Korean/Korean-American community and increasing knowledge of Korean cultural and ethnic attributes at Brown University. KASA hopes to voice the ideas and opinions of the Korean student body to the larger Brown population through social, political, and community service events. KASA encourages anyone who is interested in Korean culture and issues to become an active member! We're definitely more than simply a cultural group on campus--we're a community that looks out for one another and enjoys each other's company. We also hold a wide variety of events throughout the year that serve to inform the Brown community about Korean culture. We welcome anyone interested in Korean culture to attend our events!
Here are some of the fun and exciting events we have through the year .
Every year Brown KASA with RISD KSA puts on Korean Culture Show featuring various musical and other acts. An extremely fun and rewarding experience the show always draws large crowds.
At the end of the year, KASA has a picnic at a local state park featuring some excellent Korean BBQ. Great way to end the year with some free food!
Every month, we have GB events that are fun ways to meet the rest of the KASA community. Ranging from making pepero to alumni panels and mental health panels, they're always a great way to unwind (and get free food!).
